Aren’t all of us (not) waiting for this historical moment where 16 years, old hair flipping BOY is actually heading to Singapore to perform before a whole stage of audience.
That’s right! JUSTIN BIEBER!
It was a drowsy afternoon, I mean, you know how lunch always attempt to kill us once the clock strikes 4. Anyway, all of us were almost drowning in this pain inexorably when one colleague of mine shouted across the room:
“GUYS OMG!!!! JB’S TICKETS SOLD OUT LEI!!!!”
There, you see heads jerking upright and seems like all of us suddenly attained the highest level of energy. Following that, everyone started throwing in all sorts of criticism.
First there was something about his “utterly disgusting voice” that “obviously couldn’t make to Hollywood’s”
Then it went on to personal attacks about him being such a asshole ‘cause he dated and (broke up) Miley Cyrus. (Really? You actually knew him that well?)
And more about his sad sad life that is hated by people all over the world at the mere age of 16.
Poor young boy.
You might think that I must be a crazy fan of his, thus all this defence. But no, I am a natural party. I am definitely not a big fan of young boys (I have my fair share of them already, and no, not in the paedophile way) but neither do I belong to the ANTI JUSTIN BIEBER club. To me, he is just a young singer who’s definitely considered a talent for his age. Tell me what were you doing back when you were 16? Taking neoprints? *Rolls eyes*
So why this world wide hatred for him? Frankly, I attribute all this to the content of media coverage from HW. Seems like he’s been in the bad light since day 1. But how much we can really trust the paparazzi, you people know it well enough. Let’s just put ourselves in the position whereby we have absolutely no contact with e papz. Play a JB song. It’s not as bad as it appears to. Of cause, don’t compare them to Justin Timberlake’s or Eminem’s, those are obviously male diva. Other than that, some songs are pretty decent.
Media has all the effect on us audience. On the other hand, if JB wasn’t portrayed this badly by the media, how will we then form our impression of him? I’m sure it’ll differ.
Everybody just wants to follow the flock. I admit I’m not really for the idea of humming his songs; I might just die from darts overdose. But at least I am refraining from personal attacks. So, just give this guy a break. Chill man. There are better (or rather worse) things in life you that is waiting for you to berate about.
